The B Log: Your questions answered

Q: Q: So, uhh... where am I?
A: Congratulations! You've found THE B LOG, a blog brought to you by the letter B, boredom, and the burdens of being unemployed in a slow economy.
Q: Cool. So, what's in it for me?
A: Well, you get to read what's in my head. I've been told I have an interesting mind.
Q: By who, your mom?
A: Well, yeah. But parents don't lie, do they? Anyhow, stick around. You might like what I have to say.
Q: Whatever, man.
A: That's the spirit!

Blast from the Past...

Not sure why this song popped into my head today, but it did, which meant I just had to Youtube the video. Which means I had to share the video with you.

By Divine Right has been around for something like 20 years now, but for the most part it's been lead singer Jose Contreras and whatever grouping of musicians he feels like playing with at any particular moment. For one brief, shining moment in 1999, though, Jose put together a pretty decent band and made out with a pretty decent hit.

Even if you have no interest in the song, this video's worth watching just to check out a young guitar-playing Leslie Feist (before she became a superstar and the world forgot her first name). Those in the know will also recognize bass player Brendan Canning, the brains behind Broken Social Scene (looking a tad creepy here without his facial hair).

  • About the author
This blog is written by a communications professional, foodie, and music buff with many thoughts and few viable outlets for them. I enjoy bacon, The Beatles, and a variety of things that don't start with the letter B.
